DOWNLOADING VANSPACE 3D SOFTWARE ON WINDOWS
- Ensure that you have Administrator permissions
- Download using Chrome or Firefox
WINDOWS HAS PROTECTED YOUR SYSTEM
STEP-BY-STEP INSTALLATION
1. Load your vanspace dashboard at https://dashboard.vanspace3d.com/
2. Select DOWNLOADS from the left-side tabs
3. Select the appropriate Windows download for your system Windows 32-bit or 64-bit?
4. Once the download process is complete, it will appear in your downloads folder - Highlight so that the EXTRACT ALL option will appear.
5. Select EXTRACT ALL
6. The default extraction location will be your downloads folder; select EXTRACT
7. Extraction will take a minute or so to complete
8. Once extraction is complete, return to the Downloads folder and highlight the new unzipped vanspace 3D File Folder (do not open)
9. Drag the folder to your Desktop
10. Your vanspace 3D application is now installed and is located within the vanspace 3D folder on your desktop.
IMPORTANT - DO NOT MOVE THE VANSPACE 3D APPLICATION FROM THIS FOLDER. You can create a shortcut later that can be pinned to the Task Bar or moved to the Desktop
Continue on to RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR
RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR
It is important to run the software with the correct permissions. To do this, you will need to ensure that you have administrator rights on your system and run the software using them.
1. Once the initial downloading steps are completed, open the vanspace 3D folder on your desktop and right-click on the file vanspace 3D Application.
2. Select RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR
3. Launch the application from within this folder on your desktop or create a shortcut to the desktop, start menu or taskbar.
CREATE A SHORTCUT
This one is a personal choice, as you may be happy to launch the software from the folder on your desktop.
1. Right-click on the vanspace 3D application and select CREATE SHORTCUT.
Once the new shortcut appears, you can drag the shortcut icon to the desktop or right-click on it and select MORE OPTIONS > PIN TO TASKBAR.
WINDOWS HAS PROTECTED YOUR SYSTEM
If you are running Windows Defender, an alert may appear as you have downloaded an application from the Internet rather than the Store.
Selecting MORE INFO will reveal a RUN ANYWAY option to continue.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Downloading is a straightforward process; any errors that pop up will be down to system settings and/or permissions.
