Modifying the roof area
Great for pop tops, roof tents and high tops.
In this example, we will use a pop top from the Furniture Library; however, you can customise it, create your own, or create hightops using 3D shapes too. Create your own objects with 3D shapes.
1. Enter POP into the Furniture Library's search bar if you want to use this pre-made item or customise it
2. Select the rooftop tent and place it on your template, adjusting to the dimensions needed
3. If using a pre-made template, toggle off the exterior walls, roof and back door
4. Tilt the template so that the area where the object and the ceiling meet and you will notice that the internal ceiling is still visible.
5. Apply a transparent material to the ceiling; we recommend MISC - CLEAR GLASS.
You can now continue designing your layout without the confines of the ceiling panels and can return to a different texture when needed.
Modifying the walls
Great for creating additional useable space when adding flares, usually used when wanting to enlarge bed space.
In this example, we will use the pop out window panel from the Furniture Library; however, you can customise it, create your own, or create hightops using 3D shapes too. Create your own objects with 3D shapes.
We will then apply the same transparent texture to the Internal walls as in the ceiling example above.
1. Enter POP into the Furniture Library's search bar if you want to use this pre-made item or customise it
2. Select the pop out window panel and place it in position on your exterior walls, adjusting to the dimensions needed. Use the duplicate feature if wishing to apply another to the opposite wall of the template too
3. If using a pre-made template, now toggle off the exterior walls, roof and back door
4. Position your view at the rear of the template; you will notice that the Internal walls are still visible, apply a transparent material. We recommend MISC - GLASS CLEAR
5. Create your design allowing for this extended area; change wall material as needed.
