CREATING A SUBFLOOR
Do you need one? At the very least, it is recommended for better insulation.
Subfloors are an excellent addition for many reasons, some of which are really important. They are also straightforward to create within the software.
- Insulation
- Provides additional support
- Flat surface
- Keeps moisture away from hardwood used for flooring
- Electrical and plumbing components
- Additional storage
- Pull out decking area storage
CREATING A SMALLER ADDITIONAL SUBFLOOR
CREATING A FULL SUBFLOOR
- If you have selected a pre-made template, you can locate the cargo area length and width dimensions at Pre-made Templates and their Dimensions
- If you have created a custom template, you will know the length and width dimensions entered.
1. Position the Grid at the level you would like to add the subfloor
2. Locate the SHAPES folder within the Furniture Library
3. Select the PLANE or CUBE and place it on the grid
4. Highlight the 3D shape that you have chosen; you are now able to input the dimensions required into RESIZE AND ROTATE W & D in the SIDEBAR
5. Rotate with the space bar if needed, and move into position with the gizmo
CREATING A SMALLER ADDITIONAL SUBFLOOR
If wanting to apply an additional subfloor/s to create levels within your layout, you will follow the same basic steps as above.
1. Position the GRID at the required height
2. Select the PLANE or CUBE from the SHAPES folder within the Furniture Library
3. Place on the GRID and enter the required dimensions into RESIZE AND ROTATE H & D
4. Rotate with the space bar if needed, and move into position with the gizmo
