WINDOWS AND TRANSPARENT WALLS
- Whilst pre-made templates will have exterior walls that can be toggled on and off, they are a solid 3D mass that can not be manipulated to allow transparency only in certain areas.
- The same applies to internal walls and custom templates when viewing from within the template, although these will naturally toggle off when viewing from outside the template.
- Some pre-made templates have been modelled with the standard windows installed; others that are usually modified to the van converters' personal preferences have not.
- Windows can be crucial to a detailed conversion layout. Software features are provided that allow you to add windows and, if required for cosmetic reasons, create transparency within the internal space.

USING & CUSTOMISING WINDOWS
DECIDING WHICH WINDOW OPTION
1. Type window into the Furniture Library search bar to reveal all available windows, and select the option that you would like to use or modify with 3D shapes.
2. If you would like to create a different style of windows, you can do this using 3D shapes and applying different textures.
2. For cosmetic reasons, you can apply to the exterior walls; however, remember, this can not make a transparent area that allows for viewing internally.
3. Toggle the exterior walls off in VAN SETTINGS to view your internal design space
WINDOW APPEARANCE IN THE INTERNAL DESIGN SPACE
You will notice that while facing an internal wall from outside of the template, the wall will toggle off. This wall will toggle back on, and another will toggle off as you change your viewing position.
All internal walls will automatically toggle on if you place yourself within the template; however, a transparent texture can be applied to the wall if wanting to view the full layout internally without using the GIF MAKER.
4. Continue creating and/or placing your windows. Toggle the exterior walls off and on if needed
APPLYING TRANSPARENT TEXTURES
You will find glass textures in the MISC folder, all with varying transparencies, hues and multiple uses. For the most transparent, use MISC - glass clear.
Great for
- Creating custom windows out of 3D shapes
- Applying to interior walls when wanting to view through windows
5. Apply the recommended glass texture MISC - glass clear to the template walls within VAN SETTINGS
Toggle back and forth between transparent and solid textures while designing and viewing.
