CUSTOM TEMPLATE VERSUS ADJUSTING A PRE-MADE TEMPLATE?
With nearly 200 pre-made templates provided, the chances are that you will find one suitable for your model, but what if you have a slightly different model, a larger bus, or even a non-traditional cargo van or bus?
You have several options available, one of them being to adjust an existing template's dimensions, BUT don't overlook creating a custom template instead.

A. Base template creation
The first step is to create the base template, using the cargo area dimensions only rather than the entire length.
1. Enter the Cargo area's height, Width and Length dimensions 👉️ Creating a Custom Template
2. Incorporate any slopes and curves needed
3. Do not apply a front Cab
4. Select Use Van and take the newly created base template into the design area.
B. Base template internal additions
Internal fittings can be applied once the base template is in the design area.
1. Add the Interior wheel wells 👉️ Adjusting the Interior Wheel Wells
2. Select or create windows and place them into position 👉️ Windows and Transparent Walls
3. Select or create doors and place them into position 👉️ Create your own Furniture and Fittings with 3D shapes.
4. Create internal steps, platforms or sub-areas if required 👉️ Creating a Subfloor
C. Base template external additions
Exterior fittings are not always crucial to the internal layout and are sometimes only for cosmetic appearances. Additional exterior structures can be created using 3D shapes, such as the front cab area.
1. Toggle off the Bulkhead within the base template 👉️ Toggle Template Walls, Roof, Bulkhead and Seats
2. Using 3D shapes, create the front cab seating area
3. Select or create front cab seating
4. Using 3D shapes, continue to create the basic front cab, including any doors, windows or steps required

Now that the base template is complete, you can continue designing the internal layout within the living area. and vanspace 3D have some recommended tips
1. Switch between transparent and solid textures on the internal roof if wanting to build upwards or on the internal walls once windows are in place. 👉️ Expert Tips for Bright Whites, Wood Grain directions and Transparent Objects
2. As a front cab is rarely essential to the internal layout, don't worry about creating one. If wanting to use Swivel seats, only create the front cab floor and add them from the Furniture Library. You can rotate them using the space bar.
3. Be creative with 3D shapes, as much as you would be in the real-life build. Think of them as materials to help you build your furniture, fittings, and structure.
