It is important to note that there are many different resolves to this issue, so some patience may be needed to locate which will work for you.
CHECK PERMISSIONS |
1. During the Download process, you will have moved the vanspace App to your Applications folder; locate vanspace and click once to highlight
If you did not move to Applications and it is still in your Downloads folder please ensure to move now.
2. Once the vanspace App is highlighted click Command and the letter I (⌘+I ) the Information box about the application will then appear.
3. Click the arrow Next to Sharing and Permissions to expand the section
4. Click the pop-up menu next to your username to see the permissions settings.
If you’re not logged in as an administrator, you may need to click the lock to unlock it then enter an administrator name and password (or use Touch ID or your Apple Watch).
5. Change the permissions to Read & Write
If you can’t change the permissions, contact an administrator of your Mac
If the permissions here are already set to Read & Write then the permission issue will lie within a particular file within the downloaded folder which will need to be changed within the Terminal

This step will require using Terminal/iTerm which can be located in Applications Utilities Terminal
1. Open Terminal or iTerm and type chmod -R 755
It will look like this: please note the space after chmod and after -R

2. Drag the vanspace App from Applications into the Terminal window and press return
You will then be able to open the app file normally however, it will initially fail because gatekeeper won't be able to verify the file.
3. Go to APPLE SYSTEM PREFERENCE SECURITY AND PRIVACY and then click the padlock to allow the vanspace app to open.
You will only need to do this once, and from then on, launch as normal from Applications or your Dock
